The Fairchild Metroliner III comes somewhere between a private jet and a regional airliner.

It is often used as a charter or as a company plane. It can relatively easily be converted from a twelve-seater VIP-configuration into a small airliner, or cargo. And for the latter reason, it has a relatively large luggage door for this type of plane. This also makes it highly suitable to quickly transport technical service teams and their equipment to problem situations.

The Metroliner III is highly efficient and economical. It can be used to transport management during the day and can be used for courier services during the night. The journey is comfortable and fast because its two jet powered engines drive the propeller at a very efficient rate allowing it to reach speeds of up to 325 miles per hour. Its range varies, depending on the  load from 500 - 1,500 NM.
