Notes:
Designed
as a derivative of the Beech C99 Airliner and the King Air 200, the Beechcraft
1900 offers a longer fuselage and more powerful engines than its predecessors.
The first Beech 1900 flew on September 3, 1982 and entered revenue service
in February 1984.
The prototype Beech 1900D
first flew on 1 March 1990, with production beginning in 1991. This enhanced
version of the original 'C" model added an enlarged fuselage, allowing
passengers to enjoy stand up headroom. To accommodate the additional weight
associated with the fuselage growth, more powerful engines were added.
Efficiency was also enhanced with the addition of winglets.
